Proposed Rewrite of Wetlands Rule Expected by December, EPA Says
Carlton Fields Shareholder Neal McAliley was quoted in the Bloomberg BNA Daily Environment Report article, “Proposed Rewrite of Wetlands Rule Expected by December, EPA Says.”
The Environmental Protection Agency is rewriting rules to clarify the “Waters of the U.S.” rule that governs which wetlands and waterways are subject to the federal Clean Water Rule. The EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plan to accomplish this by repealing a rule from the former Obama Administration and then propose a new rule to replace it by December 2017.
McAliley said, “Until you see the proposed rule, it’s hard to say whether they should have taken more time.”
