Carlton Fields Shareholder Barry Leigh Weissman was quoted in the Law360 article, “UK Political Turmoil Stalls Key New Insurance Regulation.” Reforms to insurance regulations may be put on hold as the U.K. struggles to find a majority in Parliament. These range from protection against cyberterrorism to new compensation calculators. And big-league insurers are moving to set up European subsidiaries now that British voters have passed Brexit. 

“Most clients after the election are coming to the conclusion that they need to establish something in the E.U. Those that were probably on the cusp…probably have been pushed over,” said Weissman.
