Why In-House Attys Ditch The Corporate World For Law Firms

Carlton Fields attorneys Michael H. Jo and Marguerita Brunson Sims were quoted in a Law360 article about a trend of law firms hiring attorneys from in-house legal departments. Since April, Carlton Fields has hired four former in-house lawyers, who bring with them deep knowledge of their industries and clients’ needs.
 
Jo joined the firm from Kroll Bond Rating Agency Inc., where he served as managing director and head of real estate finance. Brunson Sims was senior corporate counsel for WellCare Health Plans Inc. before she joined Carlton Fields.
