Class Action Research Shows the Cost of Defending High-Risk Litigation Is Up

Carlton Fields President and CEO Gary L. Sasso was quoted in a Tampa Bay Business Journal article discussing noteworthy findings from the 2019 Carlton Fields Class Action Survey. The report, which was featured in several top business and legal publications, reveals a continuing rise in class action defense spending. 
 
“This year’s report confirms that companies are spending more to defend themselves against class actions as the cases get significantly riskier,” Sasso told the Business Journal. “Yet, corporate counsel are approaching class-action litigation more holistically — analyzing business impact with an early and strategic approach.”
