Carlton Fields' Julianna Thomas McCabe Discusses Class Action Trends in the Life Insurance Industry with Life Annuity Specialist

Carlton Fields Shareholder Julianna Thomas McCabe was quoted in a Life Annuity Specialist article focused on class actions in the life, annuity, and retirement solutions industry. The article also cited Carlton Fields’ 2019 Class Action Survey, which found that companies anticipate a continued increase in class action matters and spending. McCabe, who chairs the firm’s National Class Actions practice and oversees the Class Action Survey, told the publication that insurers seeking to manage class action defense costs are conducting early case assessments and including arbitration clauses in their employment contracts.
