Carlton Fields' Aaron Weiss Authors Article About TCPA Supreme Court Ruling

Carlton Fields telecommunications attorney Aaron Weiss authored an article in the Daily Business Review titled, “What a Couple of TCPA Vets are Watching Now That the High Court Has Saved the TCPA,” about the top trends in telecommunications.

The Supreme Court recently ruled that the TCPA stays in effect, surviving the highest court in the country.

Weiss and his co-author point out that prudent practitioners should track the Supreme Court’s decisions (both what they decide to decide and if they decide another issue altogether), the Eleventh’s Circuit’s cases on ringless voicemails and refrigerators in motor homes, and the Federal Communications Commission’s most recent rulings.

The authors also suggest that telecommunications professionals watch the Senate’s potential composition change after the election and how it affects the TCPA, as well as states’ legislation and cases in court.
