Carlton Fields construction attorney Wm. Cary Wright was featured in a Construction Dive article regarding the recent Paycheck Protection Program payouts to construction companies.

Construction companies have taken the largest amount of the assistance program’s loans, totaling approximately $45 billion.

Certain companies have had to justify their participation in the program, citing the turmoil the coronavirus crisis has caused their company and construction industry.

Wright comments that though some companies are still waiting for their assistance to arrive, the Small Business Administration seems to be turning around approvals quickly, and the program proceeds seem to have helped contractors.
