Carlton Fields’ Gary L. Sasso Featured in Tampa Bay Business Journal on Lawyer-Client Connection During COVID

Carlton Fields’ President and CEO, Gary L. Sasso, was featured in a Tampa Bay Business Journal article about the lawyer-client connection during COVID.

The article highlights how the pandemic has changed the ways in which attorneys interact with their clients, as well as the ways Carlton Fields is pivoting throughout this time.

Virtual meetings means connecting with clients more casually, with more candor.

“People tell stories about their lives that they wouldn’t have told before and there’s a sense of discovery,” he said. “We’re all learning to get through this. And we’re teaching people to get through this,” said Sasso.

Carlton Fields is partnering with clients to learn what is and isn’t working when providing legal services, and has trained attorneys on the technology now needed to practice. The firm has also produced webinars and podcasts, such as the Ledgers and Law podcast created in partnership with accounting firm Cherry Bekaert.
