Carlton Fields construction attorney Michael Jay Rune II was quoted in a Construction Dive article about projects in which the general contractor or subcontractor must be replaced. Contractors must decide whether they are willing to assume the risk to step in mid-project, he said.
“Inherently, there's more risk, but you can also price that in as well,” Rune told the publication. “You may be getting a premium price to come in and take over someone else's work.”
