‘I Want a Lawyer’: Black Attorney Advises His Children on Police Encounters

Carlton Fields Shareholder M. Derek Harris was featured in a Law.com/Daily Business Review article about how he speaks to his children about police brutality against Black people.

“As a Black family, we live with the knowledge of police brutality and racism every day, and prepare our children to confront the world as it is so they can survive and thrive,” said Harris, who leads Carlton Fields’ Minority Business Resource Group.
