New Ruling: Lawyers Can No Longer Finance Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Fees

Carlton Fields litigator Merrick Gross was quoted in a Daily Business Review/ article about a new court ruling involving Chapter 7 bankruptcy fees.

“The opinion gives a great roadmap for practitioners representing debtors in that area on how to effectively and ethically collect fees for the work they are doing,” Gross told the publication. “It also provides guidance on what type of arrangements cannot be used.”
