High Court Drops ‘Earthquake’ on Federal Water Protections (1)

Carlton Fields environmental attorney Neal McAliley was quoted in a Bloomberg article, “High Court Drops ‘Earthquake’ on Federal Water Protections (1),” discussing the Supreme Court’s decision to hear arguments that undermine the scope of the Environmental Protection Agency’s power under the Clean Water Act.

“The decision to take this case is an earthquake,” said McAliley. “The Supreme Court is likely to resolve the scope of the waters of the U.S.”
