Aaron Weiss was interviewed in a Law360 article titled “Arbitration Stay Ruling May Lower Class Action Defense Costs.” The article discusses the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent ruling that litigation is automatically stayed during appeals on the question of arbitrability. This ruling favored cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Inc., which argued it was wrongly denied litigation stays during two Ninth Circuit appeals on arbitrability.

Weiss noted that even when clients are ultimately successful in the appeal and get a case moved to arbitration, that's money and time that they shouldn't have had to spend, and now won't have to spend under the Coinbase decision.
