Naomi Berry Quoted in American Bar Association: “Printing While Traveling Leads to Waiver of Privilege”

Carlton Fields attorney Naomi Berry was quoted in an article for American Bar Association, “Printing While Traveling Leads to Waiver of Privilege.” The piece discusses a cautionary tale in which a court ruled that a client waived the attorney-client privilege when they sent an email to a hotel desk clerk to print.

When asked about the decision, Berry commented, “This is like the printed version of having a privileged conversation in a crowded elevator which every attorney should know not to do.”
