Aaron Weiss was quoted in a Law360 article titled “Florida High Court Adopts AI Policy for Lawyers.” The article discusses a recent amendment to the Florida Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration that requires those filing court documents to check any artificial intelligence-generated content for accuracy and authorizes sanctions for filings containing errors.
Weiss stated that "this new rule will simplify the issue for litigants. It elegantly makes use of an existing rule ... and then adds less than ten words." He added, "This is a simple solution to, if we are reductive about it, [what] is a simple problem: don't file court papers with made up stuff.”
