Gene Rossi, Justin Chretien Quoted in Law360: “Carlton Fields Beats DQ Bid in Fla. $500M Miss America Suit”
Gene Rossi and Justin Chretien were quoted in Law360, in an article titled “Carlton Fields Beats DQ Bid in Fla. $500M Miss America Suit.” The article discusses the attempt, and failure, to disqualify the firm in the lawsuit over the ownership of the company that runs the Miss America pageant.
"Today, Judge [G. Joseph] Curley stayed the state court case for at least 45 days," said Rossi. "Instead, Miss America's true owner, Robin Fleming, will continue to move with the alacrity in federal court, where Glenn Straub has faced a multitude of defeats."
In addition, Chretien said that Straub is claiming ownership by relying on fraudulent
documents. "We are moving expeditiously to conduct a forensic examination on what we consider to be fraudulent documents," Chretien said. "We are also moving to schedule a hearing as such discovery is completed."
