Neal McAliley was quoted in E&E News in an article titled “Trump Admin to Roll Back Pivotal Clean Water Act Rule.” The article discusses how the federal government will scale back oversight of waters and wetlands under the Clean Water Act.

In discussing the new guidance from the Environmental Protection Agency, McAliley stated, “The major thing the guidance does is rescind previous guidance that a wetland can be regulated if it is 'connected to [a regulated water such as a stream] by a discrete feature like a non-jurisdictional ditch, swale, pipe or culvert.’”
