Carlton Fields Promotes Miami Attorney Michael N. Wolgin to Shareholder

Miami, Fla. – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that it has elevated Michael N. Wolgin, an associate in the firm’s Miami office, to shareholder.

Wolgin defends insurance companies and financial services institutions in complex litigation matters in federal and state courts throughout the United States. His practice includes class action defense, consumer fraud, and commercial litigation. In addition, he represents and counsels insurance companies in regulatory matters, including multi-state market conduct examinations.  

“Michael has become an integral part of our insurance team,” said Steven J. Brodie, the firm’s Miami Office Co-managing Shareholder and Co-Leader of the firm’s Insurance Industry Group. “We welcome him and look forward to continue building our national platform.”

Wolgin also devotes a significant amount of time to pro bono matters, having been recognized for excellent pro bono advocacy by Legal Services of Greater Miami in 2011, and having received the William Reece Smith, Jr. Pro Bono Award from Carlton Fields in 2015. He received his J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.S., magna cum laude, from Yeshiva University.
