Carlton Fields Recognized as a Leader for Diversity

For the second consecutive year, Carlton Fields is recognized among the most diverse law firms in the country, ranking in the top 20 (No. 13) in American Lawyer magazine’s 2018 Diversity Scorecard. The annual scorecard is considered a leading benchmark measuring law firm diversity based on the percentage of minority attorneys — Asian-American, African-American, Latino or Hispanic, Native American, and self-described multiracial attorneys — at AmLaw 200 and National Law Journal 250 law firms in the calendar year 2017.

Law360's 2018 Diversity Snapshot ranked Carlton Fields second in its tier of 300 to 599 attorneys for its percentage of female equity partners. Law360’s Glass Ceiling Report ranked Carlton Fields fifth in the same tier for its percentage of female equity partners. More than 300 law firms were surveyed.

Carlton Fields has received additional national honors in the last year for its commitment to diversity. The firm consistently ranks as a top law firm in the country for Diversity by Vault, and it has received the distinction of “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality” for nine consecutive years by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index. In 2017, Law360’s Diversity Snapshot ranked the firm 2nd in its tier of 300 to 599 attorneys for percentage of minority equity partners. The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) named Carlton Fields a Top Performer. The firm is one of only 52 LCLD organizations that earned this distinction for its participation in and support of the organization’s mission.
