Four Associates Join Carlton Fields

Tampa, Fla.Carlton Fields is pleased to welcome four associates in three of its offices, expanding three different practice groups.
 
Miami
Joshua L. Gutter is a member of the firm’s Business Transactions Practice Group. Prior to joining the firm, he completed legal internships at DLA Piper, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Internal Revenue Service. Gutter was also a legal extern for the MacArthur Foundation, a legal intern at the University of Miami School of Law’s Investor Rights Clinic, and a law clerk for Vermont Legal Aid. He earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law, and his M.S. and B.S. (summa cum laude) in accounting, from the University of Florida. Gutter is a certified public accountant.
 
Raina T. Shipman is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation section of its National Trial Practice Group. She was a Carlton Fields summer associate in 2016 and 2017. Before that, she completed internships at U.S. Rep. Ted Yoho’s congressional office, Southern Legal Counsel, and the Samuel Proctor Oral History Program, and she served as a researcher for the Bob Graham Center for Public Service. Shipman earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. She also earned a B.A. in political science and a B.A. in history, summa cum laude, from the University of Florida.
 
Orlando
Aaron A. Holman is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation section of its National Trial Practice Group. He was a Carlton Fields summer associate in 2017. Before joining the firm, he was a legal intern at the risk, compliance, and technology services company Digital Risk. He also interned for the Orlando law firm Sawyer & Sawyer and worked as a math teacher in Marianna, Arkansas. Holman earned his J.D, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He also graduated cum laude from UF with a B.S. in finance and a B.A. in political science.
 
Washington, D.C.
Stephen Choi is a member of the Financial Services - Regulatory Practice Group. He was a Carlton Fields summer associate in 2017. Prior to that, Choi was a judicial intern for the Honorable Amit P. Mehta in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. He also completed internships with the Securities and Exchange Commission and AEGON USA Investment Management. He earned his J.D. from the George Washington University School of Law and his B.S. in management from Boston College.
