Carlton Fields Adds Two Lawyers to Growing Real Estate and Commercial Finance Practice

With the new hires, Carlton Fields has added a total of nine real estate attorneys in the past six months, including a five-lawyer team led by Shareholders Gina A. Hough and Samantha T. Schneck, who joined the firm’s Washington, D.C., office in December. The firm’s real estate group now includes more than 80 attorneys and government consultants nationwide.

Carlton Fields provides services related to all aspects of real property acquisition, development, financing, leasing, ownership, use, and transfer. The firm’s clients include landowners, developers, real estate investment trusts, pension fund advisors, architects, construction companies, brokers, lenders, banks, property management firms, tenants, and governmental authorities. Carlton Fields’ real estate lawyers represent clients in connection with acquisition of land parcels, obtaining governmental and regulatory approvals, financing of improvement costs, construction of facilities, management and leasing of space, and disposition of property. The firm’s real estate practice was recently ranked among top firms in both Connecticut and Florida in Chambers USA 2019.
Conicella is an associate in the firm’s Orlando office. Her commercial real estate law practice focuses on contract and lease negotiation and drafting, real estate acquisitions and dispositions, and review and resolution of title insurance matters. Conicella also represents clients in the land use and development sector, with experience in zoning and comprehensive planning, concurrency, permitting, code compliance, annexation, due diligence, variances and waivers, site plan approvals, and procurement of land entitlements.
Prior to joining the firm, Conicella was an associate at Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed in Orlando. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and her B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh.
Preissler is an associate in the firm’s Hartford office. She represents institutional lenders, banks, real estate developers, and individual investors in all aspects of a wide variety of commercial real estate and finance transactions, including loan originations, multi-state transactions, acquisition and permanent financing, construction loans, and syndicated and securitized loans. She has experience assisting clients in transactions involving office buildings, gas stations, apartment complexes, assisted-living facilities, industrial buildings, and other commercial projects.
Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Preissler was an associate at Updike, Kelly & Spellacy in Hartford. She earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and her A.B. from Brown University.
