Carlton Fields’ Allison Oasis Kahn Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by The Florida Bar

West Palm Beach, Fla.Carlton Fields Shareholder Allison Oasis Kahn is now Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Labor & Employment Law. Board certification recognizes Kahn’s special knowledge, skills, and proficiency in labor and employment law and her professionalism and ethics in practice. She was recognized at The Florida Bar Convention on June 27 in Boca Raton. 
 
According to The Florida Bar, 7% of eligible Florida Bar members — approximately 5,181 lawyers — have earned board certification in one or more of the bar’s 27 specialty areas. Only 199 lawyers are Board Certified in Labor & Employment Law, with an exam pass rate of 50%. One-third of Florida’s Board Certified attorneys in Labor & Employment Law are women, according to The Florida Bar.
 
Kahn defends employers in discrimination and retaliation matters in state and federal court. She represents entities of all sizes across sectors including health care, banking, telecommunications, and education. She regularly appears before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Department of Labor, and Florida Commission on Human Relations.
 
She is often called on by the media to provide expert commentary on labor and employment cases and news. She has been quoted in media outlets such as The Huffington Post, HR Dive, and Law360 Employment Law.
 
Kahn earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, and her B.A. from Georgia Southern University.
