Is Your Company Subject To GDPR? Find Out With Carlton Fields' GDPR Assessment Tool

The EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), which went into effect a year ago, established a groundbreaking privacy framework that regulates how businesses handle personal data.

To commemorate the one-year mark of the GDPR’s effective date, Carlton Fields is pleased to announce the launch of its GDPR Assessment App.

Created by Carlton Fields privacy and cybersecurity attorneys, the app is an interactive tool that helps clients determine whether the GDPR applies to their business and connects them with attorneys who can guide them through the new requirements.

Access the assessment app here to learn if your company is impacted by the GDPR. The assessment tool is also available on the Carlton Fields CyberAPP, a free cyber incident response mobile application.

“For the past year, we have been working with our clients to assess the extent to which the GDPR applies to their businesses and, if so, how to adhere to its requirements,” said Joseph W. Swanson, chair of Carlton Fields’ Cybersecurity and Privacy practice. “We developed the app as a way to standardize the intake process and to provide our clients and us with an initial assessment regarding the GDPR’s impact on their business. The output allows our team to focus immediately on the aspects of the GDPR most important to each client.”

The Carlton Fields CyberAPP is available from both the iOS and Android app stores.

Carlton Fields is recognized as one of the top 25 law firms in the nation for its Cybersecurity and Privacy practice. Carlton Fields’ privacy attorneys comprise former federal cybersecurity prosecutors and Certified Information Privacy Professionals (CIPP/US). They are active and hold leadership positions in data privacy and cybersecurity organizations including The Sedona Conference Working Group on Data Security and Privacy Liability.
