Carlton Fields Shareholder Lee Stapleton Appointed to University of Florida Law Center Association Inc. Board of Trustees

Miami, Fla. – Carlton Fields Miami Shareholder Lee Stapleton was appointed to the University of Florida Law Center Association Inc. Board of Trustees (LCA Board of Trustees). The board’s nominating committee selected Stapleton, a UF Levin College of Law alumna, from a distinguished list of nominees. She will serve a six-year term.

The Board of Trustees’ primary mission is to support the law school through fundraising, recruiting outstanding new students, and developing career opportunities for graduates. The law school is ranked as the 12th best public law school and 31st among all law schools in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.

Stapleton is a trial lawyer recognized nationally for her achievements in complex commercial litigation and white collar criminal defense. In addition to her service on the LCA Board of Trustees, she is a past president and current member of the Orange Bowl Committee. Stapleton is also an editor of the American Bar Association’s Litigation Journal. She is a faculty member at the University of Miami School of Law, where she teaches litigation skills. Stapleton earned her B.A., M.A., and J.D., with honors, from the University of Florida.

Carlton Fields Shareholder Cristin Conley Keane, also a UF Law graduate, serves on the board alongside Stapleton.
