Carlton Fields’ Gary L. Sasso Named One of Florida’s Most Influential Business Leaders

Carlton Fields President and CEO Gary L. Sasso was recognized on Florida Trend’s third annual Florida 500 list as one of “Florida’s Most Influential Business Leaders.” Additionally, Shareholder and Chair Emerita Sylvia H. Walbolt was selected as one of Florida Trend’s Living Legends, a list of only 42 Florida luminaries. Their profiles can be read here (Sasso) and here (Walbolt).

The Florida 500 list features the state’s most influential business leaders across major industries. “The passion, interest and desire that these influentials have for improving Florida perhaps will inspire all of us to do a little more,” Florida Trend Publisher David Denor wrote in a publisher’s letter.

According to Florida Trend, the Florida 500 honorees were selected based on extensive contacts in regional business circles, hundreds of interviews and months of research, culminating in a highly selective biographical guide to the people who really run Florida. A variety of sources were used to produce the lists, including input from executives of economic development organizations, professional associations and others who know their communities, industries and the state well.
