Carlton Fields’ Rick Gross Appointed to American Bar Association Section of Litigation and Florida Bar Leadership Positions
Miami, Fla. – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Shareholder and National Business Litigation Practice Group Co-Chair Merrick L. “Rick” Gross has been appointed to several key American Bar Association (ABA) and Florida Bar leadership positions.
Most notably, Gross was newly appointed to serve as a co-chair of the ABA Section of Litigation’s Section Annual Conference (SAC) 2022, where he will help plan this premier event for litigators.
Gross was also appointed to serve as a member for the ABA Section of Litigation’s Rule Roadshow Task Force, as an ABA Section of Litigation Leadership Development co-coordinator, and as a member of The Florida Bar’s Civil Procedure Rules Committee for the 2020-2021 bar year.
Additionally, Gross recently started his term as a co-chair of the Commercial Real Estate Financial Council (CREFC) High Yield Distressed Realty Assets (HYDRA) Forum, after serving his one-year term as co-chair-elect.
Gross has more than 32 years of legal experience serving a variety of business clients. His multifaceted commercial litigation practice includes aspects of banking, real estate, securities, business torts, and creditors’ rights, including bankruptcy. He also handles commercial loan workouts and foreclosures involving all types of real property including raw land, retail, office, multifamily, and condominiums throughout the country.
