Carlton Fields’ Roger S. Kobert Named Vice Chair of The Florida Bar International Litigation and Arbitration Certification Committee

Miami, Fla. – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Shareholder Roger S. Kobert was named vice chair of The Florida Bar International Litigation and Arbitration Certification Committee. He will serve a one-year term starting July 1, 2021.

The Florida Bar International Litigation and Arbitration Certification Committee administers the process of identifying those lawyers who have the special knowledge, skills, and proficiency, as well as the character, ethics, and reputation for professionalism, to be properly identified to the public as board certified in international litigation and arbitration. Kobert has served on the committee since 2018.

Kobert is a trial attorney with more than 30 years’ experience representing foreign and domestic businesses, governments, and individuals in litigation and appeals. He also serves as a U.S. law expert witness in foreign court proceedings, advises foreign governments on matters of U.S. law, and leads cross-border, multinational, and domestic dispute resolution teams.

Kobert handles matters involving banking, directors and officers liability, commercial disputes, foreign sovereign immunity, insurance, real estate, antitrust, section 1782, and labor and employment. He is board certified in International Litigation and Arbitration by The Florida Bar.
