Shayaan S. Raja Joins Carlton Fields in Orlando

Orlando, Fla. – Carlton Fields is pleased to welcome Shayaan S. “Shay” Raja as an associate in the firm’s Orlando office. Raja is a member of Carlton Fields’ nationally recognized Real Estate and Commercial Finance Practice.

Carlton Fields provides services related to all aspects of real property acquisition, development, financing, leasing, ownership, use, and transfer. The firm’s clients include landowners, developers, real estate investment trusts, pension fund advisors, architects, construction companies, brokers, lenders, banks, commercial mortgage bankers, government-sponsored enterprises, property management firms, tenants, and governmental authorities. Raja’s practice focuses on complex real estate finance transactions with an emphasis on federally insured loans under FHA/HUD insurance programs. He also has experience in commercial and residential transactions.

Raja represents clients in connection with lending, including drafting mortgages, promissory notes, guarantees, and closing documents. Raja also has experience in preparing and analyzing commercial real estate leases, purchase and sale agreements, operating agreements and reviewing title work.

Earlier in his career, Raja worked in the legal department for a global technology company in Seattle, Washington. He earned his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Florida. Raja is fluent in Urdu.
