Geoffrey Cooper Joins Carlton Fields in Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C. – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Geoffrey Cooper has joined the firm in Washington, D.C., as a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Commercial Finance Practice.

Cooper represents mortgage lenders in commercial real estate financing transactions, including refinancing, construction, permanent financing, and acquisitions. His practice primarily focuses on health care and multifamily project loans insured by the Federal Housing Administration. Previously, Cooper represented public entities, project owners, and developers participating in HUD-assisted programs. In particular, he assisted clients with respect to regulatory issues, transactional real estate matters, and litigation arising under federal affordable housing contracts.

Cooper received his J.D. from George Washington University Law School and his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Texas at Dallas.
