Carlton Fields’ Jin Liu Elected as Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers

Tampa, Fla. – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Tampa Shareholder Jin Liu was named a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) at the organization’s Board of Governors meeting on March 24, 2022.

ACREL Fellows are elected for their outstanding legal ability, experience, and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of real estate law. Fellows must be nominated for membership and satisfy rigorous standards and screening. Liu is also a Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. 

As chair of Carlton Fields’ Development Industry Group, Liu represents real estate investment trusts (REITs), national builders, resort developers, other developers of large commercial and residential projects, pension funds, and other institutional investors in the purchase and sale of both improved and unimproved property, business planning and implementation, transaction structuring, equity investment, and a variety of financing transactions. She also represents banks, other institutional lenders, loan servicers, and other financial institutions in a wide range of loan transactions, loan sales, workouts, and disposition of real estate. Liu has experience advising developers and financial institutions with respect to Florida condominium filings and condominium-related due diligence issues.

Liu earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, and her LL.B. from Southwest University of Political Science and Law and her B.A. from Sichuan International Studies University, both in China.
