Carlton Fields Adds Labor Employment Attorney in Los Angeles

Carlton Fields is pleased to announce the addition of Justin R. Peters, an associate practicing in the firm’s Los Angeles office. Peters’ arrival continues the firm’s significant Los Angeles office growth by more than 50% in the past six months.

Peters is a member of Carlton Fields’ Labor and Employment Practice, which was named a “Litigation Leader” for Complex Employment Litigation in the BTI Litigation Outlook 2022. He represents employers in all aspects of private employment litigation, including defending claims for wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and leave of absence violations.

Peters also handles matters in state and federal courts and before various administrative agencies, including the U.S. Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, and the California Department of Labor Standards Enforcement. Additionally, he regularly counsels employers on wage and hour-related matters, employee and independent contractor agreements, and human resources policies.

Peters received his J.D. from Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law, and his B.A. from the University of California, Irvine.
