Carlton Fields Adds Agency Lending and Real Estate Attorney Thomas Scopelitis in New York

New York, NY - Carlton Fields is pleased to announce the addition of Thomas Scopelitis in New York. Scopelitis expands the firm’s skilled team of lawyers in its Agency Lending Practice. He is also a member of Carlton Fields’ national Real Estate and Commercial Finance Practice.

Scopelitis represents lenders in commercial real estate financing transactions, with an emphasis on multifamily housing transactions under the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae multifamily finance programs. He has significant experience with the full range of Agency loan products, including Fannie Mae’s Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) product line and Freddie Mac’s Capital Markets Execution (CME) program.

“Tom has a keen understanding of the Agency lending business as well as the substance of this complex practice,” said Gina Hough, who leads Carlton Fields’ Agency Lending Practice and is a former vice president and deputy general counsel at Fannie Mae. “He approaches every transaction with attention to detail, providing full-circle guidance and management for transactions of all sizes.”
