Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Names Carlton Fields Attorneys to 2023 Fellows and Pathfinders Programs

Tampa, Fla. – The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) has named two Carlton Fields attorneys to its 2023 LCLD Fellows and Pathfinders programs. Tampa shareholder Lauren Fenton-Valdivia was selected as a Fellow and Miami associate Patricia Patino as a Pathfinder.

The LCLD is a national organization that provides professional and personal development opportunities for high potential, diverse attorneys through its Fellows and Pathfinder programs by exposing participants to opportunities to network with peers and learn from esteemed program alumni and leaders in the legal profession.

Fenton-Valdivia has a diverse litigation practice and routinely represents corporate clients in state and federal court. She handles complex litigation including commercial disputes, employment litigation, healthcare litigation, professional liability, and environmental matters. She has served as lead trial counsel for corporate clients, and has handled large scale, multi-district class actions. As a compliment to her litigation practice, she also counsels clients on employment and regulatory matters.

Patino represents commercial clients in a wide range of business disputes. She has experience with various issues of state and federal law, including breach of contract, commercial torts, and related causes of action.

Carlton Fields has been a member of LCLD since its founding in 2009 and firm President and CEO Gary Sasso served on the board of directors and co-chaired the Fellows Program. The firm’s past Fellows include Fentrice Driskell, Kristin Gore, Derek Harris, Jin Liu, Alana Zorrilla-Gaston, and Vanessa Singh Johannes.
