Tampa Bay Business Journal Names Jin Liu BusinessWoman of the Year Honoree

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Bay Business Journal has named Jin Liu as a 2023 BusinessWoman of the Year honoree. Liu was one of 31 honorees selected for their leadership and achievements in their respective industries throughout Tampa Bay, Florida.

Growing up in China, Liu was determined to become the first person in her family to go to college. She learned English, moved to the U.S., graduated from law school magna cum laude, and subsequently began her legal career at Carlton Fields in 2005.

Liu, who chairs Carlton Fields’ Development industry group, represents large companies in multimillion-dollar, complex matters related to pension funds, builders, resort developers, developers of large commercial and residential projects, real estate investment trusts, and more.

In 2022, Liu was named a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, and a fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys in 2018. She also sits on the board as the vice-chair of the Tampa Downtown Partnership, championing of the economic development of the city.
