Allison Kahn Elected President of Academy of Florida Management Attorneys

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Carlton Fields shareholder Allison Kahn has been elected president of the Academy of Florida Management Attorneys. Her one-year term begins on January 23, 2026. She has been a member of the AFMA for more than a decade, and previously served as vice president; secretary and treasurer; and sergeant at arms and membership chair.

Founded in 2001, AFMA serves as a forum for the free exchange of ideas, knowledge, and continuing education among preeminent practitioners of management-side labor and employment law. AFMA’s members have a strong interest in ensuring that the courts give effect to the legislative intent reflected in statutory language governing labor and employment, and that employment laws are applied fairly and uniformly to their clients.

Kahn is board certified in labor and employment law by the Florida Bar and is one of only approximately 200 lawyers in Florida to hold this distinction in her practice area. She represents entities of all sizes across sectors including health care, hospitality, banking, telecommunications, and education, regularly appearing before the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Florida Commission on Human Relations, county fair employment practice agencies, and in state and federal court. In 2023, Kahn was appointed to the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida, Ad Hoc Committee on Attorney Admissions, Peer Review, and Attorney Grievance. She has co-chaired the annual Pro Bono Awards Ceremony for the 15th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida for the past five years.
