Carlton Fields’ Aaron S. Weiss Awarded Certificate of Meritorious Service by Florida Bar

MIAMI, FL – The Florida Bar's Consumer Protection Law Committee has awarded Carlton Fields shareholder Aaron S. Weiss with a Certificate of Meritorious Service in recognition of his many years of dedicated service to the committee's mission.

The Consumer Protection Law Committee educates consumers and bar members about consumer protection laws and current issues through public outreach events, public service messages, continuing legal education (CLE) programs, and consumer publications.

During his tenure on the committee, Weiss has taken on a range of leadership roles, including co-chairing the CLE Subcommittee, the Awards Subcommittee, and the Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Subcommittee. He also served a term as vice chair of the committee and has been a featured speaker at its annual seminar at the Florida Bar Annual Convention every year during his time on the committee.

Weiss is a shareholder in Carlton Fields’ Miami office with more than 20 years of experience in a national litigation practice with a significant focus on consumer claims. He is board certified by the Florida Bar in business litigation, a distinction held by fewer than 250 of Florida's more than 100,000 licensed attorneys and is also certified by the Florida Supreme Court and the Southern District Florida as a mediator for civil and appellate disputes. Weiss frequently litigates individual claims and class actions under consumer protection statutes, and he also counsels companies on related compliance issues.
