Los Angeles, CA – Carlton Fields attorney Mark Neubauer was named to the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2026 “Top 100 Lawyers” list. This annual list recognizes the top lawyers in Los Angeles based on their legal skill and achievement, leadership, and meaningful contributions to the Los Angeles community.
Throughout almost a half-century of practice, Neubauer has achieved key litigation victories for some of the world’s most well-known companies, protecting them from multimillion-dollar claims. He has tried numerous jury and bench trials in state and federal courts, focusing on sophisticated litigation, including commercial, securities, antitrust, real estate, employment, and entertainment matters. He also has a string of landmark appellate opinions he has won in areas like anti-SLAPP and lis pendens. His client philosophy and signature approach of strategic aggressiveness and a track record of undeniable results has made him a top lawyer in his practice, receiving numerous awards and recognition for his work.
In the community, Neubauer has applied his litigation skills to pro bono matters with lasting, positive impact on Californians who could not otherwise seek justice. He was part of the team that filed a class action lawsuit that exposed troubling practices at underperforming schools in Southern California and the Bay Area. The case resulted in a judicial order requiring immediate reform, a settlement with the students, and the 2015 passage of Assembly Bill 1012.
As the founding managing shareholder of Carlton Fields’ Los Angeles office, Neubauer was instrumental in establishing and expanding the firm’s California presence, attracting top trial attorneys and bolstering its reputation in the region.
