TAMPA, FL – Nicki Hancock has joined Carlton Fields as Chief Human Resources Officer. She was most recently Vice President of Human Resources and occupational health at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.
With more than 20 years of HR management experience, Hancock has significant experience in compensation and benefits, engagement and culture, and talent management. She previously served as Vice President of Human Resources for HCA Brandon Regional Hospital and Citrus Memorial Hospital. Prior to HCA, she spent 10 years with Illinois-based OSF Healthcare System, advancing from HR Director at a 100-bed acute care facility to Regional Director of Employee Relations supporting five hospitals and more than 4,000 employees, before later serving as Director of Operations for Pointcore, an OSF-affiliated health care services company.
“Nicki is a thoughtful and collaborative leader with a strong track record of building engaged, high-performing teams,” said Annie Hiotis, Carlton Fields’ Chief Operating Officer. “Her strategic approach to talent and culture will be a tremendous asset to our firm as we continue investing in our people and our future.”
At Carlton Fields, Hancock will lead a human resources department that supports the firm’s attorneys, paralegals, and staff through management of the firm's compensation and benefits plans, development and implementation of programs and policies, and training and development. The department ensures the recruitment and retention of qualified employees throughout the firm and provides oversight and guidance regarding employee relations and diversity matters and compliance with regulatory issues.
“I’m excited to join Carlton Fields and contribute to a firm with such a strong reputation and long-standing commitment to its people and clients,” said Hancock. “The firm’s collaborative culture and forward-looking leadership made this an especially compelling opportunity.”
Hancock is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the HR Certification Institute, a former fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a formerly credentialed examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige Criteria Lincoln Foundation Award for Excellence.
