Ann Black Receives Circle of Excellence Award from Miami-Dade Bar
MIAMI, FL – Ann Black has been selected to receive the 2025 Miami-Dade Bar Circle of Excellence Award. She will be recognized at the bar’s annual award ceremony on November 19, 2025.
Established in 2022, the award recognizes attorneys and paralegals who demonstrate exceptional performance in Florida’s legal profession. According to the organization, this year’s selection process was the most competitive to date, with more than 420 nominations submitted. The recognition highlights the diligence, commitment, and professional excellence of those honored.
Black serves as co-chair of Carlton Fields’ Life, Annuity, and Retirement Solutions Industry Group. In her practice, Black counsels financial services clients on a broad range of insurance, securities, and business issues. She regularly advises clients developing new and innovative life and annuity products and on the insurance and securities issues impacting those products. She also advises clients on the laws and regulations regarding the sale, distribution, issuance, administration and operation of, and benefit payment practices related to, these products. Clients also seek Black's guidance on insurtech initiatives, including the use of big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and tech-driven customer engagement ventures.
