MIAMI, FL – Carlton Fields’ Federico Maciá was elected to the board of directors of the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s South Florida chapter.

The AILA is a nonpartisan, nonprofit, voluntary bar association that provides continuing legal education, professional services, and expertise to more than 16,000 attorneys who practice and teach immigration law. With nearly 700 members, its South Florida chapter is one of the largest in the nation. AILA South Florida works to facilitate the administration of justice for immigrants in the legal system and promotes positive reforms to immigration and nationality laws.

Maciá has more than 25 years of experience in immigration law and takes a hands-on approach to his practice by working closely with his clients to guide them through the immigration process. He represents individuals and institutions in all areas of immigration law, though his practice focuses on employment-based immigration for professionals, managers, and investors as well as employer compliance with U.S. employment authorization regulations.
