Jayashree Mitra Elected to International Cannabis Bar Association Board of Directors

NEW YORK, NY – July 24, 2025 – Carlton Fields shareholder Jayashree Mitra was elected to the International Cannabis Bar Association’s board of directors. She will serve a two-year term, ending in 2027. The board helps set strategic direction, supports educational and advocacy programming, and aims to uphold legal merit in cannabis law worldwide.

Mitra represents clients in high-stakes litigation across a wide range of intellectual property, antitrust, and commercial disputes. Her clients span diverse industries, with a particular focus on the pharmaceutical sector. Mitra also helps clients in the cannabis and psychedelic industries navigate the challenges of obtaining intellectual property rights from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, litigates cannabis-related patents in federal courts, and helps ensure compliance with FDA and DEA regulations.
