MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Carlton Fields’ Jenny Covington was recognized in Minnesota Lawyer’s 2025 “Top Women in Law” list. Honorees are recognized for their outstanding leadership, professional accomplishments, and dedication to making a difference in both the legal field and their communities.
Covington’s legal career is defined by high-stakes litigation success, strategic leadership, and a steadfast commitment to gender equity in the courtroom. In 2023, she served as lead trial counsel in a landmark case, assembling and leading an all-women trial team to a defense verdict in just 45 minutes following a complex two-week trial. Outside of the firm, Covington advocates for Indigenous communities through her work with Anishinabe Legal Services, helping women pursue safety, stability, and long-term success.
Covington co-founded and co-leads the Minneapolis office of Carlton Fields alongside longtime colleague Molly Given. This office is the firm’s first in the Midwest, and Covington’s leadership has been instrumental in its strategic expansion and operational success in the region.
Honorees were selected by an independent panel based on the core principles of leadership, professionalism, accomplishment, and passion for making a difference.
