Kathy McLeroy was interviewed by The New York Times in an article titled “Giuliani Moved Possessions From N.Y. Apartment as Creditors Closed In.” The article discusses creditors’ recent, and unsuccessful, efforts to collect on a $148 million judgment imposed on Rudy Giuliani for defaming two Georgia election workers after the 2020 election.
While it is not very common, there are instances when a defendant does not cooperate with court orders, said McLeroy. “There are people that think that they can continue to do whatever they want to do,” she said. “And unfortunately, a creditor has to be somewhat patient.”
