Kathy McLeroy Receives Justice Award From Bay Area Legal Services
TAMPA, FL – Carlton Fields’ Kathy McLeroy received the 2024 Judge Don Castor Justice Award from Bay Area Legal Services. She was recognized at Bay Area Legal Services’ annual Champions for Justice Donor Appreciation event on November 20.
The award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to equal access to justice for all and the provision of legal aid for those in need.
McLeroy is deeply committed to pro bono work. She has been involved in numerous professional and civic organizations in addition to Bay Area Legal Services, such as the Florida Bar Foundation and the Florida Commission on Access to Civil Justice. Earlier this year, she received the Pro Bono Award from the Florida Bar’s Business Law Section. McLeroy has represented numerous individuals in pro bono matters, including landlord-tenant disputes, mortgage foreclosure actions, consumer matters, and collection matters. She serves as co-chair of the Florida Bar Pro Bono Legal Services Committee and previously chaired Carlton Fields’ Pro Bono Committee.
