Luis Prats Receives Lifetime Achievement Award From Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section

Tampa, FL – Luis Prats was honored with the 2024 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate, and Trust Law Section’s Construction Law Committee at its Construction Law Institute on March 22. The award recognizes one Florida construction law practitioner per year for their lifetime of exemplary dedication, mentoring, and volunteer work, and their commitment to maintaining the highest level of professional reputation and integrity.

Prats was recognized for his 40-plus years of experience representing public and private owners, developers, contractors, and design professionals on all types of construction matters. He has tried dozens of cases in state and federal courts and arbitrated or mediated hundreds of construction disputes. He regularly counsels owners and contractors during all phases of construction.

Prats is board certified in construction law by the Florida Bar. He is a fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers and the Litigation Counsel of America, and has been repeatedly recognized by Chambers USA, among other professional rating publications.
