Markham Leventhal Appointed to National Alliance of Life Companies Board of Directors
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Carlton Fields’ Markham Leventhal was appointed to the National Alliance of Life Companies’ board of directors. He will serve a two-year term, ending in 2027. The board guides the organization’s advocacy and regulatory efforts, supporting member life insurers through advocacy and industry engagement.
Leventhal has a national litigation practice focusing on the defense of financial institutions, insurers, and other sophisticated businesses in federal and state courts across the U.S. He serves as co-chair of the firm's Life, Annuity, and Retirement Solutions Industry Group, and he has defended cases involving virtually every insurance or financial product issued by the life, annuity, and retirement industries. Leventhal has served as lead counsel in NAIC multistate examinations and disputes with individual state insurance regulators.
