WTR 1000 Honors Carlton Fields as Top-Tier Trademark Firm for Sixth Consecutive Year

TAMPA, FL – Carlton Fields received the elite gold-band ranking in Florida in the 15th edition of the World Trademark Review 1000 for the sixth consecutive year. Gold band status is reserved for trademark practices that attract the most positive comments from clients and industry sources each year. The 2025 annual guide also recognized attorneys Eleanor Yost and Ty Giltinan.

The WTR 1000 identifies the world’s leading trademark law firms and individuals in key jurisdictions globally through an extensive research process considering factors such as depth of expertise, market presence, and level of work. The WTR 1000 is the only stand-alone publication to recommend individual practitioners and their firms exclusively in the trademark field and identifies the leading players in more than 80 key jurisdictions.

Yost, chair of Carlton Fields’ Intellectual Property Practice, was described as a “formidable force in managing trademark portfolios for key international players.” As longtime outside trademark counsel for GoFundMe, Yost “expertly oversees the company’s global trademark portfolio while spearheading its defense against scammers and cyber-squatters. Her strategic leadership not only protects but strengthens the brands she serves.”

Giltinan was described as someone who “not only is an expert in trademark law and practice, but he also anticipates and considers business-related and practical factors. He excels at proposing multiple options for moving forward and can always be relied upon to make sound recommendations. Ty is diligent, genuinely cares about his clients and has a fantastic sense of humor.”

Carlton Fields’ national Intellectual Property Practice manages domestic and international trademark protection and enforcement for some of the most recognized brands in the world. The firm’s professionals advise clients on brand strategy, protect and manage trademark portfolios, and litigate against infringers. The team also advises on cutting-edge patent, copyright, domain name, trade dress, false advertising, unfair competition, and other intellectual property issues.
