Overview
Ciara Barone focuses her practice on appeals and complex civil litigation. She has experience researching and briefing a wide range of issues, including appellate jurisdiction, Article III standing, constitutional claims, antitrust standing, statutory interpretation, evidentiary challenges, qualified immunity, and complex commercial disputes.
Before joining Carlton Fields, Ciara served as a law clerk to the Honorable Gregory A. Phillips of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and practiced at two national litigation firms. While attending the University of Virginia School of Law, she represented clients before the Fourth and Sixth Circuits through UVA’s Appellate Litigation Clinic, helping secure a reversal and new trial in the Sixth Circuit. Ciara also holds a master’s degree in applied economics from Johns Hopkins University.
