Overview

Jason Bullinger focuses his practice on construction litigation. He represents contractors, developers, and design professionals in construction-related claims and disputes. He has years of experience representing both multifamily and single-family homebuilders in some of the various types of litigation they face, including defect claims, contract disputes, property damage and injury cases, and warranty claims. Jason has successfully argued complex motions and taken and defended complex depositions at all stages of litigation and arbitration. He also assists construction clients in negotiating and drafting key contract provisions for construction contracts.

Jason also has experience representing both private and public sector clients against claims of premises liability, auto negligence, and various tort claims. His specific experience includes trucking accidents and claims investigations, school bus accident cases, and company vehicle accidents, which all include significant and catastrophic injuries as well as wrongful death claims.

Prior to entering law school, Jason served his community as a deputy sheriff at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office for nearly 10 years. He currently volunteers as a pro bono guardian ad litem for the Orange County Bar Association’s Legal Aid Society.

Experience

  • Regularly represents homebuilder clients in both single-family and multifamily residential construction defect litigation.
  • Obtained an arbitration award in favor of a homebuilder in a construction defect case.
  • Represented a national general contractor in a mutimillion-dollar contract dispute concerning the construction of a bridge in Volusia County.
  • Defended general contractors in several personal injury cases concerning incidents at construction sites.
  • Represents contractors and property owners in construction lien cases.
  • Obtained summary judgment in favor of a general contractor on the statute of repose in a multimillion-dollar defect claim.
  • Represents general contractors, design professionals, and developers in various types of complex construction matters.
  • Handled more than 100 depositions, including depositions of developers, general contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects, accountants, special inspectors, and industry executives.
