Overview

Marc Bernatchez focuses his practice on labor and employment, drawing on extensive civil litigation experience including the defense of complex matters involving general liability, professional liability, and business disputes. He has handled all phases of litigation — from depositions and dispositive motions to mediations and trial preparation — and counsels clients on legal strategy, compliance, and risk management.

Before joining Carlton Fields, Marc practiced at Connecticut firms focusing on complex civil and business litigation as well as negotiating sophisticated commercial real estate transactions. He earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he received the Pomp-Shine Family Award for excellence in tax law and served on the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal, the Connecticut Moot Court Board, and the Mock Trial Society.
